KNAW AI Policy

NIOO-KNAW is part of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). As an institute, we operate within the broader framework of KNAW’s guidelines for the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence.

The KNAW AI policy establishes shared principles across all KNAW institutes, covering research integrity, transparency, data security, and the ethical use of AI in academic and administrative contexts. NIOO’s own policy is built on and aligned with these principles.

Note

NIOO adheres to the KNAW AI guidelines. Where NIOO’s policy goes further or is more specific, NIOO’s guidelines take precedence for NIOO staff and students.
